##Description
**Castello di Petrata** is located about 8 km from the Basilica d’Assisi, the Umbrian town where St. Francis, the patron saint of Italy, was born. Mount Subasio Park, a natural area established in 1995, is about 14 km away. Gubbio, with the famous Palazzo dei Consoli in Gothic style, is located about 55 km away. Umbria International Airport can be reached in about thirty minutes by car.

This hotel, housed in an ancient fortress dating back to the fourteenth century, is surrounded by a 50-hectare private park. Four years of renovation returned it to its former glory. It includes a lobby, a reception, a bar, a restaurant, a swimming pool, a solarium with turf and a tiled floor with parasols and sun loungers, a lush garden, a pond and a tennis court.

Castello di Petrata has different types of rooms, for a total of 20 rooms, including:
-Classic (Country Side): including one with a wood burning fireplace. The others, on the second floor, are characterised by a ceiling with wooden beams;
-Junior Suite: built by renovating the original master bedrooms, they consist of a living room and a bedroom. Some are arranged over two levels. Others have one or more terraces and a solarium with sun loungers.

All rooms, with wooden furniture and bed headboards in wrought iron, have bathrooms with shower or a tub and hair-dryer, telephone, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, mini bar, a safe, air conditioning and heating. Some rooms are characterised by wooden beams, stone walls and pieces of great historical value.

Some Classic rooms, located on the ground floor of the oldest tower and with a separate entrance from the garden, are specially equipped for people with disabilities.
